The Moose & Merlin was designed by my Dad and built from scratch! Inspired by years that I lived in small cabins off-grid, with no running water, and in the woods. To the seasoned camper, this cabin is a luxurious palace! To the folks who are used to full amenities, this may feel like roughing it and not for you. I would check through the descriptions below to make sure this is the experience you are looking for. If this fits your needs, you will find yourself very comfortable in this cabin.

THINGS TO CONSIDER:

  • There is no running water but there is a draining sink with water provided. There is an electric kettle to heat up your water to wash your hands and dishes. You will need to lift a 5 gallon jug to access the majority of your water! If this sounds doable to you, I think you will like it here!

  • There is electricity but no WIFI directly at this cabin due to its remote location. You will have cell service, and you can walk 1-2 mins closer to the main parking area and get on Starlink wifi. There is an outdoor shelter you can sit at while you use the wifi.

  • The main toilet is an outhouse. You will have access to a full bathroom & shower in a cabin in the main parking area.

  • It is located in the woods! You can drive to it, but you are located at the trailhead. It is very peaceful and private. If you are nervous to be out in the woods, it may not be the cabin for you!

WHAT TO EXPECT:

BATHROOM: An outhouse seconds away from the cabin. There is also access to a full bathroom and or laundry on site located in a cabin in the main parking area. I typically block off mornings or evenings for your private use of the bathroom and will organize this during the check-in process.

  • Endless icepacks and coolers included by request.

  • Electricity. No running water. Water included.

  • 5 gallon + 4L jug of water provided. More available anytime.

  • Kitchenette with draining sink, dish soap, dish sponge, towels

  • Coffee beans, Grinder, pour-overs & filters, loose tea kettle

  • Herbal & black tea provided

  • Salt, pepper, steak spice & sugar provided

  • Electric Kettle for hot water (beverages, food, dishes)

  • Electric non-stick Skillet

  • Paper towel, tinfoil, tongs, knife, cutting boards

  • Strainer, large bowl, dishes, cutlery, mugs, cups

  • 2 chairs + picnic table. Outdoor solar lights

  • Puzzles, Nature books, Coloring books & art supplies provided

  • Free snowshoes available by request
